Since a dog’s back paws may require a smaller size than the front paws our boots are sold in pairs to allow pet owners to choose the right size for the best fit. This means you will only see 2 booties for 1 order. So make sure to order a second pair for the rear paws as well, usually in a smaller size. I purchased my Healers Booties from Chewy because we had a foster dog that had surgery done on his left front paw that removed his inner toe digit. He kept licking and biting at his wound making it worse and hard for him to walk. When we put the medium boot on his paw to protect the wound, it helped. But, no matter what we tried it would eventually come off. Healers home page says: "Let us help you, help them.". I found out that they really mean that. I was fortunate enough to get Terri on the phone as it was already afternoon and the heavy snow warning in her area was active. I explained to Terri the problem and she was very empathetic for the pet. She suggested that we try one of the Velcro straps that they use with the Urban Walkers and also see if a small booty would work. In addition, she suggested we add a sock to the paw to improve holding the boot in place. She said she hoped to be able to send the strap and booty expedited delivery yet that same day or hopefully the next day if the snow didn't shut travel down. This was on Thursday, on Monday we received the package even though Healers is in Washington and I am in Missouri. The small boot fit over the paw, but was not high enough up the leg to work. However, the strap provided the added grip to hold the medium boot in place along with wrapping the paw. This significantly improved his ability to walk and he is now not needing the boot. Terri sent the boot and strap expedited at no cost to me and was so helpful I just can't praise Healers Petcare enough. I have even ordered a pair of the Urban Walkers III to have on hand, just in case the pet needs it again. If you ever have a problem with the booties, I highly recommend contacting Healers to address the problem, they really care about your pet.

My dog has begun dragging her back feet to the point that the tops bleed without protection. The Urban Walkers III protect the bottoms and the tops of her feet and they are easy on/ off too!

These will not stay on her paws. Lost and found twice, not going to try for a third fail. They are high quality, but not the solution for us unfortunately.
