Our dog Sam happily let us put them on. We use them because as he’s aged, he’s started scuffing his back paws when we walk and was causing injury to himself. It took about 3 tries before we got them on quite right, but once we did, they worked great. He happily trotted along with protected paws.
I have an old dog who has lost all power in his back legs. He uses these booties on his immobile back legs to protect them when he walks in his K-9 cart that has wheels and relies on his front paws to propel him forwarded.
So we have a 53 pound dutch shepherd. He had recently ran around on some turf playing with his friends not realizing it was tearing up his paws. So when clean him up and made sure wore the healer booties for a week and a half when he went outside. They stayed on extremely well after I figured on how to put them on the correct paw. There is a tag inside each one that tells you left from right. If your dogs paw needs to be wrapped up purchase these. His front paws are a size medium and the back paws are a size small.
Truthfully, I don't care for the new design. The old ones fit well and my dog didn't even notice them. The new ones are wide and bulkier and he is not as comfortable. Too bad. I'll have to be looking for some other ones.
